Date: 2010-02-19 09:03 am (UTC)I and many others have done what we can to hunt them down, only to have more appear only a few days or weeks later.
We have recently had a shortage of food, and some monsters have appeared to be edible. Those went into hiding as well, however.
So it would seem, although rare, these beasts serve some sort of purpose.
