[So guess who only now looked at that little letter that was addressed to him, and has been completely oblivious to the happenings around him from the phone? That's right, this guy. Looking at it and reading the letter over he seems thoughtful at first.]

Well that's easy enough.


[Phone]
Look, I ain't got a thing against any of ya, but if ya leave me alone, I'll leave ya alone in return.

[Hol then hangs the phone up and frowns. His fingers twitch and that's when he notices the lack of something very important to him, when a certain Emperor is failed to be summoned.]


A. His housemates are welcome to notice their not!dad's nervousness throughout the day. In fact, it seems like he'd break down at any minute.


B. He can be found outside the house now and again during one of his smoke breaks.

[Hey, look who's coming to pester you on your smoke break. She's got a rake, but it's for her own protection since she leaves it leaning against the mailbox.]

So how are you holding up? Has anybody come after you yet?

[Poor guy nearly choked on his own smoke at the sight of Toni carrying a rake. Though he calmed down when he realized she wasn't going to off him. After all.. a rake? That'd hurt!]

Huh? Oh! Yeah well, I guess I am, haven't seen anyone outta the ordinary so I... Yeah, I'm good!

[Glances at the rake.] Oh. Oh! It's just for my own protection, I swear! [sigh.] I just... wanted to check up on some people I knew. Make sure they're doing okay, you know?

That's mighty kind of ya. I guess ya got one of those letters?

[It's while Hol is outside taking a smoke break that Miku passes by.

Since she's incapable of outwardly showing anything related to killing him (not that she'll do it), she just smiles and waves hi at him.

Inside she's panicking.]

[He blinks as he notices this newcomer. Normally he'd think nothing of a stranger walking on by... but knowing he could be killed by just about anyone? Well the guy's a little on edge. Though he'll do his best not to show it!

He offered a wave in return.]

[She jogs on over until she's right beside him. All the while, the letter's contents are echoing back at her, telling her what might happen to the people she cares about.

Bull. She's not killing him.]

[Hol seemed to go rigid when this girl came trotting up to him. He cleared his throat and he did his best to remain calm.]

[Crowe has been in and out of the house all day, keeping an eye on his housemates and the town.]

...Hol? Are you holding up alright?

[The guy is so scared that he nearly jumps at just hearing Crowe's voice. Though he quickly clears his throat and does his best to act completely under control. Ignore his twitching hand.]

I-I might. Actually, Iris is out so I want to find her. A-And Mr. Veidt is starting a safe house; I want to help get people there too if I can.

Why would it look bad for you? I can defend myself, Hol. I can fight, and I can use a gun. Unlike the rest of the town, I don't have some supernatural power or weapon that the town took away from me, so already I've got something going for me.

[Of course when Hol said he couldn't defend himself, he meant that he himself had no Stand. If he had no Stand then he wasn't sure if he could see the others! He knew how to use a gun, it was just more helpful to be firing one that never missed running targets, that's all.]

I didn't mean that ya can't 'fend for yerself I meant-- well it'll look bad fer me because...

[That's the second time today Crowe's misinterpreted what someone was saying, on that same subject. Maybe someone isn't as confident as he says he is...]

It's fine. In this situation, no one will blame anyone for trying to keep themselves alive. It's hard to trust people now.
